Rotary Screw Vacuum Pumps

Rotary Screw Vacuum Pumps

Rotary vacuum pumps are used in various industrial and scientific applications where a reliable and continuous vacuum source is required.

Features & Benefits
Efficiency
Continuous variable pitch screws ensure high efficiency and energy consumption
Sealing
Maximum sealing thanks to labyrinth, shaft, and piston ring seals
Performance
VSI screw vacuum pump systems achieve an ultimate vacuum of 29.917 inHgV (0.075 Torr)
Lower Maintenance Costs
Rotary screw pumps can run for 48,000 hours before needing an overhaul, which averages every 11 to 12 years
Increased Uptime
Rotary screw pumps feature plug-and-play installation, which minimizes install time
Versatile
Can work with materials ranging from dry solids to liquid phases, depending on the type of seal fitted along the vanes
Low Noise Level
Operates at a lower temperature and lower noise levels than any other type compressor used in the industry today
Applications
  • Food packaging
  • Glass
  • Woodworking
  • Plastics
  • Printing and paper
  • Meat packaging
  • CNC routing
  • Metal degassing
  • Surgical vacuum
  • Centralized vacuum applications

Rotary screw vacuum pumps are reliable and durable, and can be oil-sealed or dry. Oil-sealed pumps use oil for lubrication, cooling, and sealing, and are good for rough vacuum applications that don't require a clean vacuum, like plastics and woodworking. Dry pumps don't use oil, are typically air-cooled, and can achieve higher vacuums than oil-sealed pumps.
Rotary screw vacuum pumps are available in open skid or enclosure designs, and can have air or water-cooling, ODP or TEFC motors, and variable frequency drive set-ups. Standard accessories include air-cooling and 460v controls.
