Low Pressure Diaphragm, Dry

Low Pressure Diaphragm, Dry

Low pressure diaphragm, dry gauges are used when accurate pressure measurement is needed for very low-pressure ranges, typically under 15 psi, and when the medium may be corrosive, viscous, or clog-prone.

The diaphragm design replaces the standard bourdon tube and is more sensitive to small pressure changes, making it ideal for low-pressure air, gas, or liquid systems. It also creates a barrier between the process media and the internal mechanism, helping to prevent contamination or clogging—especially useful when measuring slurries, gases, or fluids that might crystallize or corrode internal parts.

Because they are dry gauges, they are typically used in applications with minimal vibration or pulsation, where liquid filling isn’t needed. This makes them easy to read, lightweight, and lower in cost compared to liquid-filled options.

These gauges are commonly used in applications such as HVAC systems, air filtration, gas regulators, tank level monitoring, and low-pressure process lines where sensitivity, media protection, and reliability at low pressures are important.
